I finished my production 1. I’ve never worked harder than I did to produce these 2 minutes of animation.
The people in the program are awesome. Now I have 14 days to relax.

In the meantime, here is my final for Expanded animation:

It’s my second experiment with maya. We only had to produce 30 seconds, so it was fun just messing around. My 3d palms looks a little janky but I when I turned them into silhouettes they ended up looking pretty real. In my opinion. Katie’s been reading Proust. I’ve learned a little about phenomenology through osmosis. This video really reminds me of humidity, and this weird flitered light that happens in Florida after a storm.

And THAT is my last final. So when I finish my production 1 tomorrow, I WILL BE DONE WITH THE SEMESTER.

Working my way through- scene by scene!

I’ve been coloring for a while now. I think I have 1 scene left to add color to, and 3 to finish adding color to. After that I’m just going to be massaging Badbloom until it’s as good as it can be. This semester has been insane. No class next week, then it’s due. After that, my brother Phil is coming to visit, and I’m going to do 4.5 months of relaxing in 12 days.

My body is starting to reject the computer chair. It’s fighting back in weird ways- I feel like I pulled a shoulder muscle. I’m going to need to figure out a better system for animating next year.

Just one more week long push- gotta finish the semester up with a bang.

I’m looking forward to drawing agin.

Got to get my final sound mixed today.  We only had two hours to do it, and there’s a finality to the process that is a little intimidating, but it was awesome being in that mixing room. ALSO- before they export the final mix, they initiate some process called ‘DESTRUCTIVE PUNCH’

Man this takes a really long time. A REALLY LONG TIME.
